Autumn Fields

Not really sure that will be the name of my little quilt, but I don't see any Strawberries in there, so I can't go with the Strawberry Fields Forever name. At least now I have a new very cute quilt top. Lori opted for no borders on the original, and I really love that, but when mine was together, I felt it needed a bit of a frame:

Since there are a lot of blue in my blocks I auditioned some blues - these were my favorites:

The darker one won the toss:

I actually think I'm going to hand quilt this one, if we get some warm evenings over the summer it will be nice to bring outside.

Of course Anton was keeping me company while shooting pictures -and curious as always - what's twolegs doing?

Very yummy looking colors there--I love caramel and blue together. The border idea caught me, too, and I hope it turns out as nice as yours. Anton is adorable!

I love your little quilt! Wonderful classic color combo.
I was surprised to see your Turtle interacting with you..I guess I've always thought of them as "loners?"

wonderful color choices and i like the darker blue frame around it.in the autumn i always think the sky looks so much bluer and your little quilt captures that season beautifully.

Anton is so cute and i'm surprised that he looks like he's moving rather quickly in that last photo~!~ my daughter worked with desert tortoises while in college and doing a thesis and i do remember her saying that they could move pretty fast when they wanted to . . . what an unusual and fun pet.

Had the same thing with my quilt and called it Pumpkin Field because of the burnt orange I used. Oh but I love autumn so wanted to make this in fall tints. I love yours but I am bias to these shades. I think your quilt reminds me of September wheat fields before they are harvested under a pretty blue sky.

@ Ann Champion: Turtles are actually very curious and active creatures, and very interested in their surroundings. :-) Once they've figured out that humans are sources of food, they often actively seek contact with us, and they notice very quickly when they're getting human attention. :-)
